Advice for the Owners of Nearby Mosques

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In the second question from this questioner, he says: In our neighborhood, there are three mosques close to one another, with each one approximately one hundred and fifty meters from the next. Given that one mosque is sufficient for the neighborhood to gather the worshippers, what is your advice, and what is obligatory for us in this matter?

Answer:
You must refer the matter to the court, and they will look into it, if Allah wills. You must refer it to the court so that they can examine the matter. Yes.

The presenter: Your Eminence! Is there any guidance regarding mosques being close to one another?

The Shaykh: It is not desirable for them to be close to one another. Rather, it is desirable that each neighborhood have a mosque specific to it, if they are far apart. However, if they are close together, it is better for them to be numerous in the mosque, to cooperate, and to be many.
But if the neighborhoods are far apart, each neighborhood should have a mosque so that it does not become burdensome for its people. However, if they are close together, with a distance of one hundred meters, or two hundred, or something similar between each mosque, it is desirable to leave that arrangement. But there may be reasons, such as enmity or other reasons, which the ruler and the one in authority should examine. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you, O Shaykh.
