Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Does the martyr in the path of Allah eat and drink and hear, and is he alive and subsisting until the Day of Resurrection, as the Truth (Blessed and Exalted is He) said:
And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision,وَلا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ
[Al-Imran: 169]?

Answer:
Yes, as Allah said, they are alive with their Lord, meaning: their souls. The bodies are in the earth, but as for their souls, they are transferred to Paradise, where they eat and drink in Paradise, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us. Yes.
