Question:
Also, our sister says: Tell us about the martyrs? May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
Martyrs are of different types. The best of them is the martyr in the cause of Allah, who is killed in fighting the disbelievers or the rebels, and dies in the battle with a good intention, seeking the reward of Allah and desiring the victory of His religion. This is the best of the martyrs, and Allah has promised them Paradise. Among the martyrs are those who die of the plague, the well-known plague, or of a stomach ailment, which is diarrhea, or by drowning, or by a building collapsing. All of these are martyrs, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said. Yes.
