The ruling on raising the hands and saying "Ameen" in the Friday sermon

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner says, "O His Eminence the Shaykh! What is prescribed during the imam's supplication in the Friday prayer? Do we say 'Ameen' to the imam's supplication while raising our hands? Or do we say 'Ameen' to his supplication without raising our hands?"

Answer:
He does not raise his hands, and you do not raise your hands. Neither he nor the followers raise their hands. Saying "Ameen" is between you and yourself. He supplicates without the need to raise his hands, except in the prayer for rain; if he is calling for aid, he raises his hands and they raise their hands. As for ordinary supplication in sermons, in the Friday sermon, he does not raise his hands; neither he nor the follower raises his hands. This is because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not raise his hands in the sermon, the Friday sermon, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him.

The presenter: May Allah preserve you.
