The Ruling on Mocking Women Who Wear the Hijab
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Our sister is asking about the ruling on one who mocks women who wear the hijab, especially those who cover their faces.
Answer:
In any case, the ruling on this is that he is mistaken and has committed an evil act.
It is obligatory for him to repent to Allah for that, and to encourage them to wear the hijab. He has no right, nor does anyone else, to mock women who wear the hijab. Rather, it is obligatory to thank them and encourage them to wear the hijab, because of the great benefit in that, and also because of the following of the Shari'ah and holding fast to the commands that came in the Book and the Sunnah.
As Allah the Exalted said in His great Book: [Al-Ahzab: 33] And He the Exalted said: [Al-Ahzab: 53], so the hijab for the woman contains great good and many benefits for her and for the Muslims, yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.

As Allah the Exalted said in His great Book:
And abide in your houses and do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance
وَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الأُولَىAnd when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
