The ruling on one who delays the full ritual bath and prayer due to severe cold

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A questioner says: I had a wet dream, and the time for the dawn prayer arrived. Because I had no clothes and the cold was severe, I was unable to perform the full ritual bath. So I left it until the midday prayer, when I was able to find clothing and water for purification. What is the ruling?

Answer:
It is obligatory for him, if warm water and clothing are not available to him, to perform dry ablution with clean earth: he strikes the earth with his hands with the intention of major ritual impurity and the intention of minor ritual impurity—the ablution—and wipes his face and palms, intending both major ritual impurity and the ablution. He prays according to his condition, and he must never delay the prayer. If he delays it, he has sinned. He owes the full ritual bath, and he must make up the prayer that is due from him. However, he is required to pray within its time, even if by dry ablution. If he is able to heat the water and find clothing that helps him stay warm, it is obligatory for him to do so. Otherwise, he prays with dry ablution and does not delay the prayer beyond its time.
