What is the role of the Muslim in the events occurring in the world?

What is the role of the Muslim in the great events occurring on earth: the collapse of the communist system in Eastern Europe, and the liberation movements among the peoples of the world? Is not the time appropriate for the Muslim callers to this religion to launch out to these poor people? But how?

Answer:
There is no doubt that this is from the blessings of Allah. This collapse—the fall of the communist states—is without doubt from the great blessings of Allah, for they continued to fall and collapse one after another. This is from the mercy of Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He). And there is no doubt that this obligates the people of Islam to be serious and active in calling those people, explaining Islam to them, by sending callers, beneficial books, and mushafs.
And the Muslims are more deserving of this activity than the activity of the others, such as the Christians and others. It is obligatory upon the people of Islam, upon the kings of Islam, and upon the scholars of Islam to be active in this great matter.
And we give you glad tidings that the efforts in this matter, if Allah wills, are being made by us and by others. We ask Allah to make the means beneficial. The efforts are being made by us, by the League, and by others from among the scholars of knowledge. We ask Allah to bless the means and to make the means beneficial.
And it is obligatory upon every scholar and every one who has the ability to participate and contribute with what Allah has given him of knowledge, wealth, status, and other things. And Allah does not waste the reward of one who does good .
