The ruling on one who is afflicted with intrusive thoughts of divorce without voicing them

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I am a young married man, and I am constantly plagued by intrusive thoughts of divorce, knowing that I have not voiced any of it. What is the ruling on this?

Answer:
This happens to many people from Satan, where he whispers to them in their own minds that they are divorcing their wives, and that they say: "Ta, ta, ta, talaq, ta," within themselves, like the actions of a madman or a delusional person. As long as it is merely this kind of whispering, nothing takes place until one makes a sincere decision with intent and purpose, such as saying: "Talaq," or "So-and-so is talaq," or "My wife is talaq."
As long as it is through the path of whispering, it is nothing, and there is no action required of him. Rather, he is afflicted with a serious illness, so he should seek treatment, and he should turn to the remembrance of Allah, seek refuge in Allah from Satan, and be cautious of these whispers, so that he may be saved from their evil.
