The ruling on one who passes the miqat without entering ihram

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The first message in this episode is one that reached the program from Dammam, sent by the listener 'Abd al-Qadir ibn al-Binaya. The brother 'Abd al-Qadir says: I came from Egypt to perform 'Umrah and I boarded the ship, and I stayed in Jeddah with my brother who works there. I did not have any ihram clothes with me. After two days of staying with my brother, he bought me ihram clothes, and I went and performed 'Umrah. Is the 'Umrah valid? And do I have to offer a sacrifice or not?

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
If you intended to perform 'Umrah from your country, then you must offer a sacrifice; because you entered ihram without the miqat. Your miqat is Rabigh and what is opposite it, and you passed it without entering ihram; so you must offer a sacrifice to be slaughtered in Makkah for the poor, like the 'Id sacrifice, which is one head of sheep, a one-year-old ram or a two-year-old goat, to be slaughtered for the poor; because you neglected the obligatory act, which is entering ihram from the miqat. The 'Umrah is valid, and praise be to Allah, the 'Umrah is valid. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
