Is the slaughter of one who abandons prayer permissible?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
We have learned from the program's episodes that one who abandons prayer, absolutely, is considered a disbeliever who has exited the religion, according to the correct of the opinions. So, is it forbidden for us to eat anything slaughtered by one who abandons prayer?

Answer:
Yes, this is the implication of the ruling declaring him a disbeliever. The slaughter of a disbeliever is forbidden, except for the People of the Book, who are specifically the Jews and the Christians. As for the apostate who abandons prayer, or insults the religion, or mocks the religion, or denies the obligation of prayer, or denies the obligation of fasting Ramadan, or does any of the other nullifiers of Islam, his ruling is the ruling of the polytheists, or even worse than the polytheists. His slaughter is not eaten if he slaughters an animal, because it becomes forbidden; for he is an apostate who is not of the kind of the People of the Book. Rather, the apostate is above the People of the Book in disbelief, so he is of the kind of the polytheists and of the kind of the Zoroastrians; his slaughter is not eaten.
