How a Patient Performs Ruqyah on Himself

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner says: O Shaykh! What are the hadiths that a patient recites over himself? And does he place his hand on the site of the pain in his body when reciting?

Answer:
I am not aware of anything specific in this regard. He should recite the Qur'an, recite whatever hadith is available to him, and increase his supplication and seeking of forgiveness. If he places his hand on the pain and makes du'a', that is good. When Uthman ibn Abi al-As asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the treatment of his illness, he ordered him to place his hand on the site of the pain and say: "O Allah..." He asks his Lord, (Exalted and Majestic is He). There is nothing wrong with this. If he places his hand on the pain and seeks refuge in Allah and takes refuge in Allah from this illness, a response is hoped for him. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah preserve you.
