How a sick person performs the prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: Recently, a type of chair has appeared in mosques for sick people to pray on. It has a movable part attached to it, positioned in front of the worshipper, allowing him to prostrate on this movable part while sitting on the chair. Attached to our question is a picture of the aforementioned chair. We ask your Eminence—may Allah reward you—to clarify the legal ruling on praying on such chairs.
It is attached to it, so that it is in front of the one praying and he is able to prostrate on this moving part while he is sitting on this chair. A picture of the aforementioned chair is attached to our question. We ask you, may Allah reward you, to clarify the Islamic ruling on praying on such chairs.

A: If the worshipper is a sick person who is unable to prostrate on the ground, he should indicate his prostration as best as he can. It is not prescribed for him to use something elevated, such as a cushion or a movable part of a chair or the like; based on the hadith of Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah (may Allah be pleased with them both)
The saying of the Prophet (ﷺ) to a sick person who prayed on a cushion: The Prophet (ﷺ) threw it away and said, "Pray on the ground, if you are able to do so; otherwise, pray by gesturing signs and make your prostration lower than your bowing."أن النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - رأى مريضًا يصلي على وسادة فرمى بها وقال : صل على الأرض إن استطعت وإلا فأومئ إيماء واجعل سجودك أخفض من ركوعك
Bulugh al-Maram 2:224
. It was narrated by al-Bayhaqi with a strong chain of narration.
