Question:
My nephew, who was twelve years old, passed away in an accident. I saw him in a dream repeatedly, saying to me: "I am upset with you." What is the interpretation of this, O honorable Shaykh? May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
It is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:.
This is what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said. So a disliked vision is from Shaytan; you see your son saying: "I am upset, I am in the Fire, I am such and such," or your father, or your brother, or your husband, or your mother. All of this is from Shaytan, a source of sadness and harm from Shaytan. If a person sees something he dislikes, or that he is being beaten, or that he is in a frightening place, or that he is being killed, or that he is threatened with death, or anything similar to these things he dislikes, then the remedy for this is that when he wakes up, he should spit to his left three times and say: "I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan, I seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan and from the evil of what I saw," repeating this three times. He seeks refuge in Allah from Shaytan and from the evil of what he saw three times, then he turns over to his other side, and he does not tell anyone about it. He does not say, "I saw this, I saw that." No, he remains silent, and it will not harm him.

It is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
A good vision is from Allah, so if one of you sees something he loves, let him praise Allah and tell it to those he loves. And a dream is from Shaytan, so if one of you sees something he dislikes, let him spit to his left three times, and let him seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan and from the evil of what he saw three times, then let him turn over to his other side, for it will not harm him, and let him not tell anyone about it.
This is what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said.
