Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A person performing ruqyah (healing by Qur'anic recitation) for himself?

Answer:
Seeking payment is disliked, but ruqyah (healing by Qur'anic recitation) is recommended: whoever is able to benefit his brother should benefit him without asking for payment, by performing ruqyah on himself or on another without asking for payment, and likewise seeking payment when there is a pressing need. When the need arises, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Asma to seek ruqyah (healing by Qur'anic recitation) for the children of Ja'far.
Q: Is it recommended in this case?
A: Yes, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ruqyah (healing by Qur'anic recitation) on himself and on others.
