What is the ruling on varying the number of times the limbs are washed in wudu'?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it valid to wash some of the limbs three times and others twice?

Answer:
There is no harm in washing some of the limbs twice, some three times, some once, and some twice. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed wudu' once, twice, and three times, and he washed some of the limbs twice and others three times (peace and blessings be upon him).
So if he washes his face three times and each hand twice, or washes his feet three times or twice, there is no harm.
But the best is three times: to wash his face three times and his hands three times; this is the best. He wipes his head once, the head once, and does not repeat the wiping.
