Ruling on divorcing a wife because of her laziness

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I have a wife who performs all the obligatory religious duties completely, but she complains about some tasks until it causes anger, and she does not do some tasks unless she is angry. This is because she is accustomed to laziness. Is it permissible for me to divorce her?

Answer:
You should be patient, if she is good and religious. If there is some laziness in her, you should be patient. You have some laziness too; no one is free from it. You should be kind and help her with the matters of the house. Help her. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to help his family, and he is the best of creation. He used to help his family with the needs of the house.
So you help her. Do not answer a servant. Help her so that you are safe from a servant. Help her with the matters of the house that she cannot manage. Perhaps she has children who have tired her out. Help her with the matters of the house. Encourage her to work with kind words. Do not say, "O wicked one," "O sinner," "O so-and-so," "O so-and-so," "O daughter of so-and-so," "O mother of so-and-so," "Get up and do this." May Allah reward you. May Allah be pleased with you. This is kind speech.
