What is the meaning of: {Men are the protectors and maintainers of women} and {He chose daughters over sons}?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
He has a second question in this letter, saying: Allah the Exalted said: I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan:
Men are in charge of womenالرِّجَالُ قَوَّامُونَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ
[An-Nisa: 34], and He said in another verse:
Has He chosen daughters over sons?أَصْطَفَى الْبَنَاتِ عَلَى الْبَنِينَ
[As-Saffat: 153]. I hope you will clarify these two noble verses?
Answer: There is no contradiction between them; this one is in one sense and that one in another.
Men are in charge of womenالرِّجَالُ قَوَّامُونَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ
[An-Nisa 4:34]
Just as Allah explained His saying:
by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealthبِمَا فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ وَبِمَا أَنفَقُوا مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ
[An-Nisa: 34], the man has authority over the woman because Allah has given him preference over her. Men are superior to women in general, setting aside individual cases, as some individuals may be otherwise. It is possible that some woman is better than some men, but the category of men is superior to the category of women. For this reason, Allah gave them authority over women. Then there is another command, which is spending: what he provides for her in terms of money, the trousseau, meaning the mahr and its accessories. Thus, he has authority over her by these two things: Allah’s giving him preference over her and what he has spent of money.
As for the other verse, it contains a refutation. It is a refutation of the polytheists when they said that the angels are the daughters of Allah. So He refuted their attributing offspring to Allah , and that His offspring would be female. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, is free from all offspring, both male and female. He said :
(3) He neither begets nor is born, (4) Nor is there to Him any equivalent."لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ ۝ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
[Al-Ikhlas: 3-4].
The polytheists affirmed offspring for Allah and made His offspring female, so Allah reproached them and refuted that, and He purified Himself from this, Blessed and Exalted is He. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
