The Ruling on Using Shamma

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The brother (H. S. Al-Ahmad) from Madinah has a question in this letter, the last of which says: What is the ruling on using shamma? This is his question; he is asking about using shamma? Yes.
Answer: All derivatives of tobacco are forbidden, and the harms of tobacco are immense. Many scholars and doctors have written books about it, detailing its numerous harms. It is a cause of many diseases, such as cancer and others, and it is a cause of death by stroke. Its harms are so many that some doctors have said they exceed the harms of intoxicants. Therefore, it is obligatory to abandon it in all its derivatives. Shamma, shisha, and everything else used by smokers are all prohibited. Thus, selling it is forbidden, buying it is forbidden, and using it is forbidden, whether it is shamma or otherwise. It is obligatory for the Muslim to guard against it and to warn others against it. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
