The ruling on one who memorized the Qur'an, then became occupied with worldly affairs and forgot it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
One who memorized the Qur'an completely, then became occupied with worldly affairs and forgot it, please inform us of his recompense?

Answer:
He is in danger, and he must repent and seek forgiveness. It will be nothing but good if he returns to the Book of Allah, re-reads it, and remembers what is in it. And, if Allah wills, there is no blame on him. This is a slip; he returns to Allah, repents to Allah, and seeks Allah's forgiveness. And whoever repents, Allah accepts his repentance.
Do the current preoccupations occupy all of one's time?

Answer: It is obligatory for the believer—worldly life is transient—not to occupy himself with worldly affairs. He has from it only what Allah has decreed for him. In the hadith:
Whoever wakes up with worldly life as his concern, Allah places his poverty between his eyes, scatters his family, and he does not get from worldly life except what is decreed for him. And whoever wakes up with the Hereafter as his concern, Allah gathers his family for him, places his wealth in his heart, and worldly life comes to him reluctantly.
.
A person must set aside time for his Hereafter, for reading, for study, for benefit, and for talking with his family and his righteous companions. He should not devote all his night and day to worldly affairs. There is no power and no strength except with Allah.
Then, let one of his greatest concerns be to maintain the five daily prayers in congregation. As soon as one prayer passes, the next prayer should be on his mind. He should be consistent and attentive to prayer. Among the seven whom Allah will shade with His shade on the Day when there is no shade except His is a man whose heart is attached to the mosques; whenever he finishes a prayer, he awaits the next, or hastens to it at its time with his brothers. This is among the most important matters: that you fear Allah by being attentive to your prayer.
Then, likewise, your religious affairs and your worldly affairs concerning your family and your neighbors. Let not your only concern be striving for worldly gain, for its owner is never satisfied. Its owner is like one who drinks from the sea; he is never quenched. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the son of Adam:
If there were two valleys full of riches, for the son of Adam, he would long for a third valley, and nothing would fill the stomach of the son of Adam but dust.لو أعطي واديان من مال؛ لابتغى له ثالثًا، ولا يملأ جوف ابن آدم إلا التراب
Sahih Muslim 1050
You see now people who have hundreds of millions and thousands of millions, and they are still unsatisfied.
