Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Exegesis of the verse in His saying—Blessed and Exalted is He—: (The Most Merciful rose above the Throne)?

Answer:
Answer: Yes, these are seven verses that have come in the Qur'an with this wording: (The Most Merciful rose above the Throne), (Then the Most Merciful rose above the Throne), (Then He rose above the Throne). They all came with this wording: He rose above the Throne. It is a rising that befits His Majesty. The Throne is the ceiling of the created things and the greatest of the created things. And Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He)—this is among the attributes of actions. He rises above it whenever He wills. (Then He rose above the Throne) is an attribute of action, whereas the Highness is an attribute of essence, necessary for Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). He (Glorified is He) remains in the Highness, and He is with His creation wherever they are with His knowledge (Glorified and Exalted is He).
