Securing the intellectual safety of the youth.

Answer: You achieve this by teaching them the correct education, sound curricula in schools, institutes, and colleges, and courses that follow the methodology of the people of the Sunnah and the community, the methodology of moderation. Through education, beneficial education, this is in schools, institutes, and colleges, and also in homes. You guide them in the right direction, you raise them on goodness, and you keep away from them the means of evil that bring them harm in their homes. You monitor them in the homes, because you are responsible for them. The man is responsible for those in his home; they are all under his care, and he is responsible for them. So he should not place in his home means of misguidance, or means of fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), or means [of harm], because he is responsible for this, and they are a flock for which he is accountable.
