The phenomenon of praying on chairs.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The spread of the phenomenon of praying on chairs in mosques; it has spread in the mosques; is it better to pray on a chair or to pray on the ground for the sake of prostration and the remaining pillars of the prayer?

Answer:
The answer: The original practice is to sit on the ground; but one who is unable to sit on the ground sits on a chair. If he is able to prostrate on the ground, meaning he sits on the chair in the place of standing, and then prostrates on the ground, this is obligatory upon him. If he is unable to prostrate on the ground, he indicates the prostration with his head and neck, and that is sufficient in place of prostration on the ground, due to His saying, the Exalted: (So fear Allah as much as you are able).
