The manner of prayer for a sick person who is unable to prostrate

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Muhammad Fayyad sent this message, saying in it: I suffer from a headache, or my head is sometimes afflicted with a headache that persists, so I cannot pray except by gesturing. I cannot prostrate because of this headache that I am suffering from. What is the ruling? May Allah reward you with the best reward.
Answer: Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) says:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[al-Taghabun:16] and He says :
Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacityلا يُكَلِّفُ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا
[al-Baqarah:286].
So if a person is afflicted in his head with an illness that makes prostrating on the ground difficult for him and harms him, there is no blame on him. He should pray by gesturing, and his gesture in prostration should be lower than his bowing. There is no blame on him. He bows and prostrates by gesturing, but his prostration should be lower than his bowing. He bows in the air and prostrates in the air, but his prostration should be lower than his bowing, if it is difficult for him to touch the ground in prostration, or if prostrating on the ground is prevented by an illness in his head or other illnesses that prevent him from prostrating. Yes.
