The prayer of the sick person who is unable to prostrate

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 18536 )
Q1: I am an elderly man, approximately ( 75 years old ) , and I have pain in my knees that prevents me from prostrating on the ground in the correct manner . I am unable to bend both of my knees. Sometimes I sit on a chair and prostrate with the imam. When sitting between the two prostrations or for the tashahhud, I sit on the chair. When the imam stands, I stand with him, and when he prostrates, I prostrate with him. My question is: regarding the manner of my sitting on the chair while the imam is sitting, am I correct in this method, or what must I do regarding what I have mentioned? I ask for your guidance. May Allah preserve you and care for you.
A : There is no blame on you for sitting on the chair during the tashahhud and between the two prostrations, due to the excuse mentioned. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
