Ruling on distributing the estate during a person's lifetime

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the ruling on distributing the estate and inheritance during a person's lifetime? Also, I ask about the delay in distributing the estate of the deceased?

Answer:
There is nothing wrong with a person distributing his wealth to his heirs according to what Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has apportioned, where the male receives the share of two females, among the children and the brothers and sisters. He should divide it according to what Allah has prescribed, without being unjust to some of them, or singling out some of them over those whom Allah has specified and preferred among them. If he distributes his estate according to the laws of inheritance to his heirs, he has the right to do so. However, it is better for him to hold onto his wealth and benefit from it during his life than to distribute his wealth to his children and be left without money. As for when the deceased dies, his estate reverts to his heirs, and it is obligatory to hasten in dividing it and giving every right-holder his right so that he may benefit from it and expand his means, and the deceased will receive a reward for that. Indeed, if you leave your heirs wealthy, that is better than leaving them poor, begging from people. So one should hasten, unless there are obstacles preventing the division, in which case it is delayed until these obstacles are removed. But as long as there are no obstacles to the division of the estate, it is obligatory to hasten in dividing it and giving every right-holder his right.
