The Difference Between Apostasy Due to Doubt and Apostasy Due to Belief

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
May Allah reward you, O honorable scholar. This questioner asks: What is the difference between apostasy due to doubt and apostasy due to belief, and what are examples of each?

Answer:
Apostasy due to doubt and apostasy due to belief: doubt involves wavering, asking, “Is this correct? Is what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) brought correct, or is it not correct?” This is apostasy. Likewise, belief involves holding the firm conviction that what was brought is not correct, which is more severe than doubt.
