The obligation toward a father who does not pray and does not fast

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
My father does not pray and does not fast, and he smokes a lot, and he curses a lot and his tongue is foul, and he has wronged my mother, so I do not love him, and I hate these actions. What is obligatory for me regarding my father?

Answer:
Answer: Your father, as long as he does not pray and does not fast, is not a Muslim and is a disbeliever. It is not permissible for you to love a disbeliever, even if he is your father. (You will not find a people who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kinsmen). So it is not permissible for you to love him while he is abandoning the prayer and abandoning the fasting. This is not a Muslim. And your Muslim mother, it is not permissible for her to remain with him, because he is a disbeliever, except if he repents to Allah the Mighty and Majestic and returns to his religion, then she should maintain ties with him. But as long as he has not repented and he remains in his apostasy and disbelief, it is obligatory for you to hate him, [for] Allah the Mighty and Majestic. But if he needs you and needs your kindness, be kind to him, but do not love him; be kind to him for the kinship between you and him.
