The ruling on the follower reciting al-Fatihah in the loud prayers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q193: The questioner asks: When is the recitation of al-Fatihah dropped for the follower in the loud prayers, if the imam does not give the followers an opportunity or a pause to recite it?
Vol. 193: In this case, the imam's recitation is sufficient. Allah the Exalted said:
So when the Qur'an is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy.وَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنْصِتُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
[Al-A'raf 7:204]
So, if one is able to recite the Qur'an during the imam's pauses, he should recite it. If he is not able to, he should listen to the imam's recitation, for it is sufficient, if Allah wills.
