Q2: What is the ruling on one who intends to fast in the morning after the dawn has appeared , given that he has not drunk or eaten anything?
A2: If the fast is voluntary, it is valid with an intention made during the day. However, if it is an obligatory fast, it is not valid unless the intention is made before the dawn appears; based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sunan an-Nasa'i 2336Sahih (Darussalam).
