The ruling on the latecomer saying: (Indeed, Allah is with the patient) to the imam in order to catch up with the rak'ah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q408: The questioner asks: If a person enters the mosque and the imam is bowing, is it permissible for him to say in a loud voice, "Indeed, Allah is with the patient," or to start clearing his throat, or to say "Subhan Allah" in order to catch up with the imam in the rak'ah?
A408: All of this is not permissible. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When the iqamah is pronounced for prayer, do not come to it running, but come walking(slowly). You should observe tranquility. The part of the prayer you get(along with the imam) offer it, and the part you miss complete it(afterwards).إذا أقيمت الصلاة فلا تأتوها تسعون، وأتوها تمشون، وعليكم السكينة، فما أدركتم فصلوا، وما فاتكم فأتموا
Sunan Abi Dawud 572Hasan Sahih (Al-Albani)
And in another narration:
So make up what you missedفاقضوا
Let tranquility be upon him; he should not raise his voice, nor say "Indeed, Allah is with the patient," nor clear his throat.
