Explanation of how to make up missed prayers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q320: The questioner says: I hope you will explain how to make up missed prayers. Does one have to make them up immediately, or does one delay each prayer until its corresponding time?
A320: If a person misses prayers that he left off unintentionally, such as if he was sleeping, for example, or unconscious, or mentally absent for a period, and then he wants to make up the prayer, let him make it up immediately, and not delay each prayer until its corresponding time as some of the common people do; because Allah the Exalted said:
Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance.إِنَّنِي أَنَا اللَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنَا فَاعْبُدْنِي وَأَقِمِ الصَّلاَةَ لِذِكْرِي
[Taha 20:14]
, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever forgets a prayer or sleeps through it, let him pray it when he remembers it; there is no expiation for it except thatمن نسي صلاة أو نام عنها، فليصلها إذا ذكرها، لا كفارة لها إلا ذلك
Sunan ad-Darimi 2:45
His saying: "when he remembers it": is evidence that making up the missed prayers is immediate, he prays them in order according to the Shari'ah order, but immediately, and does not delay them as mentioned, he prays each prayer with its corresponding time.
