A sick woman who is unable to fast or spend

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 17995 )
Q: A woman is suffering from a chronic illness and did not fast the previous month of Ramadan. She is currently unable to make up the days she missed, and she fasted the entire month of Ramadan. She also does not have the means to spend or feed anyone. Please be informed that the doctors have forbidden her from fasting. What should she do, and what is the solution if this woman dies? May Allah bless you and assist you with His success.
A: If the matter is as described, it is obligatory for this woman to feed one poor person for each day in place of fasting. The amount she pays for each day is one and a half kilograms of the food eaten in the country. If she is currently unable to feed, it is dropped from her; for Allah the Mighty and Majestic said:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[At-Taghabun 64:16]
And if one of the doers of good feeds on her behalf
from among her relatives or others with her permission, that suffices for her, and he has a reward from Allah for that. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
