From the age of puberty to the age of menopause, she did not make up the fasts she missed due to menstruation

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 16856 )
Q2: A woman says: From the time she reached puberty until she reached the age of menopause, she did not make up the days she missed in Ramadan due to menstruation, and she is now at the age of menopause The reason she did not make them up is that she understood
that she was not required to make up the prayer or the fast. Now that she has learned that making up the fast is necessary, she does not know the number of days she missed because of the large number and length of the years. What is the action she should take now regarding what she missed in Ramadan, which was due to her ignorance and lack of knowledge?

A2: It is obligatory for the woman mentioned to fast the number of days she missed from Ramadan, from the time she reached puberty until menopause. She must strive to determine the number of days she missed in Ramadan in the past years and fast them, along with feeding one poor person for each day due to her delay in making up the fasts. The amount of food is half a sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg) of the local staple food, which is approximately one and a half kilograms, if she is able to feed them. However, if she is poor and unable to feed them, fasting is sufficient for her, and there is no blame on her for making up the fasts consecutively or separately. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
