Explanation of the Book of the Hearts-10b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Mu'adh ibn Asad narrated to us, Abdullah informed us, 'Umar ibn Muhammad ibn Zayd informed us from his father, who narrated to him from Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When the inhabitants of paradise come to paradise and the inhabitants of hell come to hell, death will be brought and placed between paradise and hell, then slain. A crier will call, `Inhabitants of paradise, there is no death, and inhabitants of hell, there is no death.' This will add joy to the joy of the inhabitants of paradise and grief to the grief of the inhabitants of hell.

The Shaykh : I say that this hadith says "then it is slaughtered" in the passive voice; we do not know who the slaughterer is, we do not know.
The reciter: ... that it is Yahya ibn Zakariyya in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), indicating the permanence of life.

The Shaykh : What?
The reciter: to the permanence of life.

The Shaykh : Life, yes, this is the slaughter of death.
The reciter: And from some books, it is said in al-Fath, which is the tafsir of Isma'il ibn Abi Ziyad al-Shami, one of the weak narrators, at the end of the hadith of the images, the long hadith of the images, that it is Jibril (peace be upon him). It is said in al-Misbah: "On the assumption that it is Yahya, due to his uniqueness among the prophets (peace and blessings be upon them), and in this there is a subtlety, which is the appropriateness of his name, for the abolition of death, Yahya."

The Shaykh : In any case, better than all of this is to say that this has no authenticity; it is only slaughtered, and Allah knows best who slaughtered it. And your question?

The questioner : Regarding the gathering of the hands of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), is that not so?

The Shaykh : No, it is the gathering of two hands.

The questioner : He means, then he said like this.

The Shaykh : No, the hadith, what are you asking about?

The questioner : His saying: "Increase us, O Messenger of Allah."

The questioner : It is possible he said there is no likening in this.

The Shaykh : You are asking about the gathering of the hands, what is it? The gathering of the hands, like this, and for this reason he says its harm is in its gathering.

The questioner : Is it not an indication that Allah will enter me into Paradise...

The Shaykh : What is the context of the hadith for you?

The questioner : He said like this and gathered his two hands, he said.

The Shaykh : Before that, before that, the gathering of the two hands, do you know it?

The questioner : "Indeed, Allah has promised me that He will enter four hundred thousand of my Ummah into Paradise." So Abu Bakr said: "Increase us, O Messenger of Allah." He said like this and gathered his two hands.

The Shaykh : Yes, he gathered his two hands. And it is possible that the meaning is that when a person gathers his hands and takes from a thing, meaning like this, he gathers them and takes, like how you gather them and take from barley or from grain.

The questioner : Is there no likening in it?

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : Is there no likening?

The Shaykh : No, there is no likening, there is no likening, this is expressing the meaning by gesture.
