Stoning on behalf of children
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q2: Is it obligatory for the wife if she appointed her husband to stone on her behalf, and she had two children for whom she entered the state of ihram for Hajj, and they were four years old, and likewise he stones on behalf of the two children while they are present in Mina at the time of stoning ? They were present in Makkah al-Mukarramah during the day, but at night they were in Mina . May Allah reward you with good.
A2 : There is no harm in the wife appointing her husband to stone on her behalf if she would face hardship from the crowds if she stoned herself, and there is no harm in stoning on behalf of the two children; because they do not have intention at this age. And what indicates this is what was narrated by Ibn
Majah in his Sunan (Vol. 2, p. 1010), from Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:Sunan Ibn Majah 3038Da’if (Darussalam) And it is not obligatory for the wife and the children to be present in Mina at the time of stoning. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
