How to Shorten the Hair
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 16418 )
Q2: I performed the rites of 'Umrah this year, but a doubt arose regarding the shortening of the hair, as I heard from some people that it is not permissible to shorten the hair from only one side or from several sides, such as only the right side of the head and only the left side. This led me to leave the mosque, and during that time, I became doubtful about whether I had removed the ihram garments before shortening the hair and put on sewn clothing. Then, the shortening was done for the entire head. What is the ruling?
A2 : If the situation is as you described, then the exit from the state of ihram was completed by shortening the hair in the prescribed manner; for the obligation in shortening is to cover the entire head, and your wearing of the clothes is due to ignorance, so it does not harm you as long as you completed the shortening.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
