Shaving Part of the Head

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 21426 )
Q2: My father performed Hajj three times and did not shave his head or cut it short completely, but rather took a small portion from one side of his head with scissors . Is his Hajj valid, or is he required to do something? May Allah reward you with good, and may Allah protect you.
A2 : It is obligatory for one who wishes to exit the state of ihram from his 'Umrah or Hajj by cutting his hair to cover the entirety of the hair on his head. Allah the Exalted said:
with your heads shaved and [hair] shortenedمُحَلِّقِينَ رُءُوسَكُمْ وَمُقَصِّرِينَ
[Al-Fath 48:27]
And there is a command to follow the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said during the Farewell Pilgrimage:
Take your rituals from meخذوا عني مناسككم
. He commanded shaving and cutting the hair, and what passed for your father regarding not covering the entire head, may Allah forgive it, if Allah wills, due to the well-known disagreement among the scholars on this matter. In the future, he should cover his entire head by cutting his hair during Hajj or 'Umrah, provided that shaving is
better, as it is established in the two Sahihs of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) supplication for those who shaved three times, then he said:
and those who shortened their hairوالمقصرين
. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
