New additions to the original capital: if they are profits, their lunar year is the same as that of the original capital

The third question of Fatwa No. ( 17299 )
Q3: If I have capital, for example (30,000 Saudi Riyals), and it increases by approximately (2000), then when the lunar year has passed, do I pay zakah on the (30,000) or on the total amount after the monthly increase, given that the last increase was one month before the completion of the lunar year?
A3: It is obligatory to pay zakah from the capital when the lunar year has passed. As for new additions, if they are profits, their lunar year is the same as that of the original capital. However, if they are not profits, it is obligatory to pay zakah on them when their own lunar year has passed. If one hastens to pay their zakah along with that of the capital whose year has passed, there is no harm. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
