Teaching his companions the types of ihram at the miqat, and forgetting the talbiyah for himself

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 21559 )
Q1: I was with a group during Hajj this year, and while on the way
I was teaching them the rituals of Hajj and 'Umrah, and what each person of the three types of ihram should say. After wearing the ihram garments, I was teaching them in a loud voice what each person of the three types of ihram should say. I would tell them: the one performing tamattu' says this, the one performing ifrad says this, and the one performing qiran says this. Since I was at home, I had intended to perform Hajj as ifrad, and I was teaching people what they should say at the miqat. Due to my preoccupation with the bus matters, I forgot to verbally express my intention, and I did not remember until after passing the miqat by a long distance. My question is: Does my teaching of them suffice for me, since that was at the miqat, or does my teaching of them the intention to enter the type of ihram not suffice for me to be my own intention? May Allah preserve you?

A1 : If you had intended Hajj and entered the state of ihram at the miqat, then your Hajj is valid, and it does not harm you that you did not verbally express the type of ihram you desired; because that is recommended and not obligatory. However, if you forgot to enter the state of ihram and did not intend it until after you had passed the miqat, then you are obligated to offer a sacrificial animal, which is one-seventh of a camel, one-seventh of a cow, or a sheep that is acceptable for the 'Id sacrifice. You slaughter it in Makkah and distribute it to the poor of the Haram; because you neglected an obligatory duty, which is the intention to enter the state of ihram at the miqat.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
