Q5: Many people give their zakah to individuals who are not entitled to it. Is it permissible for a person who is not entitled to zakah to refuse to accept it?
A5 : It is forbidden for the owner of the zakah to pay it to those who are not entitled to it, and it is forbidden for a person to accept it if he is not among the categories mentioned in the saying of Allah the Exalted:[At-Tawbah 9:60] And may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

And Allah is Knowing and Wise.
إِنَّمَا الصَّدَقَاتُ لِلْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْمَسَاكِينِ وَالْعَامِلِينَ عَلَيْهَا وَالْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ وَالْغَارِمِينَ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ فَرِيضَةً مِنَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
