Giving to the Wife

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first and fourth questions of Fatwa No. ( 21251 )
Q1: About twenty years ago, I bought a plot of land in Makkah al-Mukarramah for twenty thousand riyals from my own money, but I registered it in my wife's name as a gift to her to mark our twentieth wedding anniversary. At that time, I had five daughters and one son, and my mother was still alive. Sixteen years ago, I wanted to marry a second time. Because my current wife had been patient with me while I was poor and my income was limited—I spent it on my mother, my orphan sisters, and then my home—I gave her one million riyals and registered her as a partner in the company I had established with one of the citizens, in order for her to agree to my marriage to another woman. However, she refused to accept the idea, saying: (All the treasures of this world would not make her give up
The clipping of a fingernail for a second woman, and if you marry someone other than me, I will leave the house." At that time, I had the same number of daughters, the son, and the mother. I found strong opposition from the daughters, so I abandoned the idea of marriage and kept the amount registered in the company in her name to this day. Three years later, the son died suddenly, and then the mother passed away after him, may Allah have mercy on her. Since I have three full brothers and one paternal half-brother, am I sinful for what I gave to my wife, or not?

A1: What you gifted to your wife, whether money or otherwise, during your lifetime is permissible, and there is no blame in it, and it becomes the property of the wife.
Q4: When the Al-Rajhi Banking Company was established, I purchased several shares in my name and the names of my wife and daughters. After the allocation, I registered all the shares in my name. Since my wife contributed a portion of the value of those shares, I transferred all the shares to my wife's name. What is the ruling in this matter?
A4: If the transfer of the shares was with the consent of the one who has the right, and he relinquished his right, then there is no blame in that.
