Is there a regular voluntary prayer (rawatib) for the 'Asr prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 17856 )
Q3: Is there a regular voluntary prayer (rawatib) for the 'Asr prayer? Knowing that I have read what the Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah wrote in al-Fatawa al-Kubra (1/174), Dar al-Ma'rifah edition - Beirut, Lebanon - that there is no regular voluntary prayer (rawatib) for the 'Asr prayer, but I have come across two authentic hadiths in Riyad al-Saliheen, one of which is from
'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him)
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to perform two Rak'ah before the 'Asr prayerأنه صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يصلي قبل العصر أربع ركعات..
Riyad as-Salihin 1121
narrated by al-Tirmidhi who said: "A good hadith," and the other is from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
May Allah have mercy upon a man who prays four before Al-Asr.رحم الله امرأً صلى قبل العصر أربعًا
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 430Hasan (Darussalam)
, narrated by Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi , and he said: "Good"?

A3: The 'Asr prayer has no regular voluntary prayer (rawatib) before it or after it. What is prayed before it is considered an absolute voluntary prayer (nafilah mutlaqah), and it falls under the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):
Between every two calls (to prayer) there is a Salatبين كل أذانين صلاة
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 185Sahih (Darussalam)
. As for after the 'Asr prayer, it is a time of prohibition in which voluntary prayer is not permissible, except for those with specific causes, such as the eclipse prayer, the greeting of the mosque, and the two rak'ahs of tawaf, according to the most correct opinion of the scholars. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
