Standing in night prayer in congregation other than in Ramadan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of fatwa number ( 15528 )
Q2: There is a mosque in our area that has put up an announcement inviting the worshippers to stand in night prayer (qiyam al-layl) on a specific day of the week at a specific time. Is this action permissible or not, with the evidence?
A2: Standing in night prayer is not prescribed in congregation except in Ramadan, as the Sunnah has come down with that. As for other than the month of Ramadan, standing in night prayer is prescribed individually. If some people do it in congregation occasionally, without specifying a particular night and without announcing it, there is no harm; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did it with some of his Companions on some occasions. However, specifying a night to stand in night prayer in congregation and announcing it is a religious innovation (bid'ah) about which it is obligatory to forbid. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
