Doubt regarding the recitation of al-Fatihah in prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa number ( 20196 )

Vol. 5: If you are a ma'mum and you doubt whether you recited al-Fatihah or forgot it, it is not obligatory for you to repeat the prayer, because the imam bears it for you. However, if
you are the imam or praying alone, and you doubt whether you recited it or forgot it, then if you are still in the prayer before bowing, it is obligatory for you to repeat the recitation before bowing. If you remember it after bowing in that rak'ah in which you doubted the recitation of al-Fatihah, you cancel that rak'ah, and the rak'ah following it takes its place, then you complete your prayer and perform the prostration for forgetfulness. As for if you remember it after the taslim of the prayer, if you remember it shortly after the taslim, you repeat only the rak'ah in which you doubted the recitation of al-Fatihah, and the rak'ah following it takes its place, then you perform the prostration for forgetfulness and say the taslim. However, if you remember it after the taslim and a long time has passed, you are required to repeat the entire prayer due to the length of the interval; because the recitation of al-Fatihah is a pillar of the prayer, and the prayer is not valid without it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
