The Imamat of the One Who Kills by Mistake Is an Error

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 19248 )
Q 3: Can one who has killed a soul by mistake serve as a regular imam?
A 3 : It is permissible for one who has killed by mistake to serve as imam, because he is not held accountable for the act itself. However, it is obligatory for him to pay the expiation, which is freeing a slave. If he cannot find one, he must fast for two consecutive months. Additionally, the blood money for the victim is obligatory upon the kin of the killer if the victim's heirs demand it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
