One Who Kills Himself

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 17924 )
Q4: Is the one who kills himself eternally abiding in the Fire ? Because it was mentioned in the hadith:
and he will live in it eternallyخالدًا مخلدًا فيها أبدًا
Sunan Abi Dawud 3872Sahih (Al-Albani)
. So does he come out of it, and if he does come out, how is the word (forever) in the hadith to be understood?

A4: The one who commits a major sin is threatened with punishment, like the one who kills himself, but he does not abide in the Fire eternally as the disbeliever does, like the other people of major sins. And what is mentioned in the hadith regarding abiding is a temporary abiding; this is to reconcile the evidences of the Shari'ah. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
