Standing in the rows of students to discipline them during prayer
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of fatwa number ( 20107 )
Q1: We are teachers in our primary schools, and we are forced to stand in the rows of students, dispersed among them, to discipline them during prayer , and often we
are forced to direct the students while they are praying with phrases such as: "Look at your place of prostration," "Do not turn around," "Do not move too much," and so on. What is the ruling?
A1 : There is no harm in some teachers standing between the rows of students to discipline them and prevent them from misbehaving and from disturbing one another; because of the benefit this brings to the prayer, provided that their standing does not break up the rows, and that their direction of the students is only as much as is needed and in a low voice; so that they do not disturb the worshippers or distract them from their prayer, and that the one supervising the students prays in congregation at its proper time. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
