Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Perhaps the questioner means that it is outside the wall of the mosque but in the direction of the qiblah?

The Shaykh : Even if it is outside the wall of the mosque, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Do not pray toward graves لا تصلوا إلى القبور
Sunan an-Nasa'i 760Sahih (Darussalam)
.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Therefore, praying toward a grave is forbidden.

The questioner : And what if it is close to the mosque?

The Shaykh : Prayer toward a grave is not valid. However, if the grave is far away, and there is a road between it and them, and it is known that they are not praying toward it, then there is nothing wrong with it.

The questioner : May Allah bless you.
