Standing for Prayer Upon Seeing the Imam

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 18097 )
Q 2: We observe in many mosques, especially in university lectures or the Friday prayer, that the rows are formed for prayer before the mu'adhdhin recites the formula for the iqamah . Is this a religious innovation?
Vol. 2: It is recommended for the followers to stand for prayer upon seeing the imam if he is absent, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
When the Iqamah for prayer is pronounced, do not stand until you see me.إذا أقيمت الصلاة فلا تقوموا حتى تروني
Sunan Abi Dawud 539Sahih (Al-Albani)
. However, if the imam is present in the mosque, the follower should stand for prayer when the mu'adhdhin begins the iqamah, and there is no blame on him if he stands at the beginning
iqamah or in the middle of it or at the end of it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
