Blood that appears and changes color during the customary period
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 20981 )
Q: I am an unmarried girl, twenty-two years old. My menstrual period used to be regular, lasting six days. Now it has changed; it comes at its usual time, but it is very light and its color is not the color I am accustomed to, and it lasts for a week or more. Question: Should I perform the full ritual bath and pray, or what should I do?
A : The blood you see during your known customary days is considered menstruation, even if it is light or the color has changed, as long as it is within the duration of the customary period. When you see complete purity from the menstruation, either by dryness or by seeing the white thread, then perform the full ritual bath and pray. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
